However, Ive had my trusty MacBook for a bit (through my reckless teen years) and theres plenty of random apps, files, and other things taking up storage that Id like to get off, it just always seems overwhelming when I start to look for things to purge.

Anyone have any clean up tips Ive used Disk Inventory X, but that can be confusingoverwhelming as it is.

All my files are always backed up to my home server so I never recover from a backup image either.

Always set them all up as new, NEVER restoring from a backup.

Im also cautious with which apps I install, and when I need to remove a program, I use AppCleaner to remove all traces including preferences and temp files.
